Jason M. Hill has spent more than 20 years helping small and midsized organizations identify the operational and financial issues that hold back growth. As founder of Sound Advice Bookkeeping, he brings a practical, problem-solving mindset to bookkeeping strategy, systems, and process improvement. His background includes a BA in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and an MBA from Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Management. Jason is also a Certified Project Management Professional and Certified Scrum Master. For nonprofit organizations, that means working with a leader who understands how disciplined processes, clean financial information, and thoughtful systems can support stronger decision-making, reduce wasted time, and help mission-focused teams operate with greater confidence.

Dr. Ali Hill brings rare depth to nonprofit bookkeeping support because her experience extends beyond finance into nonprofit leadership, infrastructure, and growth. Over the past two decades, she has run nonprofit organizations and developed expertise in building processes, using data to drive outcomes, and raising capital. She earned her BA from Tufts University, an MPA from Columbia University with a concentration in Non-Profit Business Management, and a PhD in Sociology from The Graduate Center at CUNY. Her perspective helps 501(c)(3) organizations connect bookkeeping with the bigger picture: stronger operations, clearer reporting, and better-informed leadership decisions. Clients benefit from guidance shaped by real nonprofit experience, not just accounting theory.
Senior Controller/Bookkeeper
Chris Gibson has helped Sound Advice Bookkeeping clients for more than 15 years by turning bookkeeping systems into practical tools organizations can actually use. Known for his empowering teaching style, he helps clients understand QuickBooks, workflows, and reporting in ways that support better day-to-day decisions. Chris earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts from New York University and brings a sharp eye for improving functionality and process flow. For nonprofit organizations, his value goes beyond maintaining records. He helps teams gain confidence in their books, improve internal workflows, and uncover solutions they may not have considered on their own. That combination of technical skill and client education makes him a strong resource for mission-driven organizations seeking dependable financial support.
