Jason M. Hill has spent more than 20 years helping small and midsized organizations identify the root causes behind financial and operational inefficiencies. As founder of Sound Advice Bookkeeping, he brings a practical, systems-oriented approach to accounting support, process improvement, and organizational problem-solving. His background includes a BA in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and an MBA from Baruch College's Zicklin School of Management. Jason is also a Certified Project Management Professional and Certified Scrum Master, credentials that reinforce his structured, results-focused methodology. For government and nonprofit organizations, he helps build stronger financial workflows, improve visibility into performance, and create dependable systems that support accountability, mission delivery, and long-term stability.
Managing Partner
Dr. Ali Hill brings two decades of leadership experience in nonprofit operations, organizational infrastructure, and data-informed decision-making. Her background is especially relevant for government and nonprofit organizations that need accounting support aligned with mission, process, and accountability. She has led nonprofit organizations, helped build effective systems, and supported growth through stronger operations and capital strategy. Dr. Ali earned a BA from Tufts University, a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs with a concentration in Non-Profit Business Management, and a PhD in Sociology from The Graduate Center at CUNY. Her perspective helps clients connect financial records to real organizational outcomes, making reporting, planning, and internal coordination more effective.
Senior Controller/Bookkeeper
Chris Gibson has more than 15 years of experience helping clients improve bookkeeping processes, financial workflows, and day-to-day system use. Known for his empowering and solutions-focused style, he helps organizations gain practical control over their books while improving functionality behind the scenes. Chris is especially valuable for teams that need support translating accounting tasks into repeatable, understandable processes. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts from New York University and brings a sharp eye for workflow improvement and user-friendly systems. For government and nonprofit organizations, Chris supports cleaner records, better bookkeeping habits, and stronger use of tools like QuickBooks so staff and leadership can work from more accurate, accessible financial information.
